Nyssa Tang is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a Master’s degree from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York in 2004. In August 2013, she was recognized by the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association and Wang Ju-yi as an apprentice and official instructor of Applied Channel Theory. Prior to her acupuncture career, Nyssa earned her BA in sculpture from Oberlin College in 1995.

Nyssa first met Dr. Wang Ju-yi in 2003. Upon graduating, she moved to Beijing, China where she apprenticed for a year and a half in his clinic. She continued her studies with annual trips to Dr. Wang’s clinic and helped facilitate and translate for visiting students. She has been in private practice in New York City since 2005, utilizing Applied Channel Theory to treat a wide variety of conditions. In addition, she was on the faculty at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and continues to teach Dr. Wang’s techniques in post-graduate courses, both domestically and abroad.
